Humans

Humans are the most powerful species in this world but not for any simple reasons.  They are not stronger or more intelligent that the supernaturals, in most physical and mental aspects they are weaker.  Humans are however, are flexible, adaptable, and very numerous.  Humans also have developed and continue to develop machines, science, and technology at an astonishing rate.

This extreme adaptability and technological growth has put the supernaturals in fear of the humans, whether the supernaturals admit it or not, The human race could destroy all the supernaturals if their existence was know to the human population at large.

The human adaptability and advances in technology are not a panacea.  Change has happened too fast for even the adaptable humans to be comfortable with.  Technical and scientific growth have been a boon but are so uncontrolled that they are easily exploited by the rich and powerful.  The huge cities are filled with wonders but the back alleys are awash with the poor and destitute.  Crime and corruption rampage through all levels of society.
Reasons for playing a human
  • Lack of knowledge gives you more things to find out through roleplay
  • Humans can be highly intelligent and fit into any role within a city
  • There is no masquerade or veil for them so they can always be their true selves
  • Wounds are able to be played out longer
Assumptions
  • Supernatural creatures are assumed to NOT exist.  Only a very few humans will be aware that any supernatural creatures exist and their information about them will be very limited and often incorrect.
