Vampire Lore
People, mortals, have always been oblivious to the true world around them. The conflict, the wars that loomed near them. Power struggles between supernaturals that would threaten their very existence. London was no different. The city had began to build up around itself. New buildings, including hospitals and churches had been added to the mix. Gin was being poured into glasses faster than it could be brought in. The economy was rising and the vampires new it. They planted themselves right in the middle of everything. Buying up every business they could to keep the profits close.
The problem with doing this was the very fact that day time business was just a popular was night meetings. There was more money to be had and they needed to find a way to make this happen. Through many hours of debate, discussion and bickering between themselves the camarilla could not settle on a solution. They could not walk among the mortals during day light hours. Suspicions were beginning to rise around them. The hold they had on the city was about to slip through their fingers. Finally the Tremere casters gave up on waiting and began secretly searching for their own answers. They were settled in a corner of the city, hidden deep away from most. They were the magic users of the vampires and tend to keep to themselves believing in their own right they were better than most, since they were the only bloodline to hold magic other than the necromancers, but they only embraced within their own so they were usually considered outcasts. After, a few years of trial and error finally they succeeded. What looked to be the worst storm to pass over London was actually an electrical current being pushed up by the Tremere. Once the lightning ceased it would leave a permanent dark cloud looming over the city, giving the vampires the ability to walk the streets during the day time. The cloud did more than block light it prevented the rays from reaching the ground. Being that not everything is perfect the vampires would have to keep covered for the most part. Moving from one building from the next was doable, but standing outside for long periods of time without hats, glasses, gloves etc could not be done. Their power was not of one, but of a group that had set this in place. Many would try to reason why the cloud stayed and never left. Some, mostly witches of some sort, would try to remove the cloud, especially those that suspected the presence of vampires. To date none of have been successful at removing it, yet. |
