The Victorian Era was one of the most important and revolutionary times in recent history.

This was a time of great change, the industrial revolution had changed the wealth and working patterns of many societies, the British empire was the biggest world power with is huge trading empire spanning much of the world, the advent of the scientific method and it application to different disciplines was revolutionizing countless fields, social changes like the abolition of slavery, women's property and voting rights were happening all over Europe and other parts of the world.

It was simple turmoil.
