Dark Radiance is a very visual region.  Many objects in the region use materials and advanced lighting settings to help create the distinctive look and feel for the region.  It is best viewed in High or Ultra graphics settings with the Advanced Lighting Model and Shadows for Sun/Moon/Projectors turned on.   Additionally, it is best viewed with night time windlight settings.  

Second Life Viewer
To change your windlight settings in the Second Life ™ Viewer open the World menu and select the Sun / Midnight setting.  This will change your viewer to show the environment and lighting as if it were late at night, e.g. midnight.

Firestorm Viewer
The Firestorm viewer as well as most other third-party viewers have much more control over windlight settings that the standard Second Life ™ viewer.  To change your windlight settings, open the "Quick Prefs" panel then use the time of day slider at the bottom and  move it to midnight.  

For an even better look make the following changes in the "Quick Prefs" panel.

• Un-check the "Use Regoin Windlight" option
• In the "WL Sky" drop down, select the  "Nacon's Natural Night" or the "Nacon's  Narural Dark START" preset. Alternately, the "A-12AM" setting for "WL-Sky" is useable
