General
Whether you’re here to explore or roleplay, these general rules apply to everyone.  Failure to read the rules is not an excuse, it is your responsibility to be informed.

• Abide by the Second Life™ Terms of Service
• Keep your avatar resources under control.  Excessive scripts, very complex avatar rendering is discouraged. 
• Stay out of any sky-boxes. This includes keeping your cam off of people in sky-boxes. The only sky-box structures that are an exception to this are the crypts and tunnels.
• Act in a mature manner.
• Treat all players and staff with respect.
• Respect each other's privacy.
• Seek peaceful resolutions for any type of conflict.
• When in doubt, ask a staff member or other players, don't assume.
• Trouble making, rude behaviour, offensive language, etc. is not allowed.
• If another person is violating these rules, remind the player of these rules politely and then report them to a staff member if you see fit.
• No child avatars are allowed.

NOTE: Child avatars are not allowed on Dark Radiance since the area can contain sexual situations as it is a moderate area.  According to the Age Play policy, the land owner and / or group land holder can be held responsible if sexual ageplay occurs, is promoted, or provides said activities on that land.  See the Linden labs TOS, section 6.3 part VIII and the Age Play Policy.    

Visitors
If you want to visit Dark Radiance as a non-playing character, you must abide by the following:

• You are not allowed to participate in roleplay.
• Respect the staff of Dark Radiance if you are asked to make any changes to your avatars appearance, behaviour, etc.
• No child avatars are allowed.

Players

• Real Life comes first. Period. If a person needs to exit a scene (for whatever reason) respect that person's real life need.
• You must be wearing a Dark Radiance HUD to roleplay.  Additionally your character must not be set to AFK.
• You should be a member of the "Dark Radiance" group.  The individual Dark Radiance Race groups are optional. Important information is distributed via the main "Dark Radiance" group about any rules and / or changes to the regions or region operations.
• All roleplay is consent based.  You must receive consent for any action that you try to perform on another player.
• Dark Radiance is a moderate area. Sex, nudity, and other "adult" behaviour is allowed if appropriate for roleplay. However this is not a sex sim, so blatant sex acts in public are not allowed.
• God-moding and meta-gaming are not permitted.
• No child avatars are allowed.

Post Time and Order
Try to limit your characters posting time to five minutes or less so that the action in the roleplay can keep a decent pace.  For longer posts it is permissible to do one post within the five minute time limit and end the post with ellipsis (...), then continue the next part of your character's post within a second five minute period,  Begin that post with a  ellipsis to indicate it is a continuation.
 
Whenever a roleplay gets more than two or three people, it is a good idea to start a posting order so every player gets a chance to post their character's part.  Most of the time, figuring out the post order is easy, but at times it is better to state the post order in an OOC comment so everyone knows it.  When your character enters an ongoing roleplay session it is best to wait a round before jumping into the roleplay.  If needed ask OOCly or by IM if dice are being used or if they are roleplaying with other conventions.  

If the roleplay gets to be more than 8 or so, even a simple post order can be difficult,  In those cases, it is best if a characters starts acting as a moderator to manage the posting as well as they can.
